CladCOSMOS

The night sky, made overnight.

Light that travelled for millions of years ends its journey here.

Every photograph here was made by a small robotic telescope in a driveway, stacking hundreds of short exposures until the faint light of distant worlds comes out of the dark.

About the project

No one at the eyepiece.

A Seestar S50 smart telescope sits on a roof, and Grok Bot runs it. Every clear night this winter it wakes at dusk, picks its targets, stacks exposures until dawn, edits the best results and writes the log. No one touches it. It just keeps looking up.
